Helping you create a life you love.
Sarah Siebert, MA, LPC
Attachment-Based Trauma Therapist - EMDR
I’m Sarah
I am so glad you are here! As a Licensed Professional Counselor and trauma therapist, I am passionate about helping self-aware and ambitious adults overcome overwhelm so they can reach their goals. I enjoy working with my clients to understand the root cause of symptoms and using the most effective approach to help them find relief.
Compassionate Online Counseling for Adults in Wisconsin and Florida
Our Created Lives is an online counseling clinic for adults struggling with anxiety, overwhelm or trauma. Offering safe and secure virtual treatment via telehealth.
I help people transform their lives, overcome their barriers, and live the life they were meant to live, even if they feel stuck, overwhelmed, and nothing has worked in the past.
I have been there, and I want to help you overcome those barriers and fast-track your success in building the life you want.
My goal is to help you get there faster and reach your goals without having to get a professional degree to gain the skills and insights needed to achieve your goals.
You are not your struggles. Don’t let your past or current situation define you anymore. You have the power to create the life you want. To be free of what is holding you back and truly break out of the relationships and mindsets limiting your potential. Every negative thing that has been said to you is not true. Every negative limiting thought you have said to yourself has helped you get this far, but it is holding you back from being who you are meant to be.
That’s my message and my mission. You are full of potential. When we are not living our best lives, our symptoms start to creep up, and we begin to tell ourselves why we can’t have what we want. It’s not true; we need someone to sit with us and help us gain clarity on what we want and how to get there. We need to be supported and gain a new approach that allows us to transform to break through the cycle.
That’s why I created Our Created Lives Counseling, to help you get from point A to point B faster, to share what has worked for me and my clients to help you reach your goals. To help you believe in yourself and gain the skills necessary to live the life you want to live.
Have you ever watched a video on how to make changes or read a book on living your best life and felt positive but after some time, the excitement wore off, and you didn’t know what happened and why it didn’t work? You went back to your daily life and things stayed the same. Let’s work together to find those internal barriers that hold you back and give you the support and motivation you need to make lasting changes in your life.

Our Change Philosophy
Our Created Lives believes change is created and intentional. It is something we make in our lives through deliberate action and gaining a better understanding of ourselves and what we need in our lives. Change is a skill. So often, we resist change and have difficulty creating it. What we do from day to day is 98% habit. Ever have that uncomfortable feeling that creeps in when you are trying something new? It’s uncomfortable and feels kind of awkward. Getting through that uncomfortable feeling and deliberately creating new habits allows us to grow and become our own experts at achieving goals. Once you recognize and master the skills of creating a change, you can reach any goal you have for yourself. For changes to occur, we need to build new habits and get through the uncomfortable feeling of doing something new. I’m here to help you through the process and provide support, encouragement, and tools to help you master the skill of change in a supported environment.
Imagine the relief of knowing that you are back on track to reach your goals. Imagine feeling that sense of hope and wonder again and realizing that you have the power needed to achieve the goals set in front of you.

Treatment Approaches
You can reach your goals. I am here to help by providing evidence-based treatment.
-
Person-Centered Therapy puts you in control of change in your life. I believe that you are the expert on yourself. Change happens when you are in the right environment and are accepted, heard, and valued. Through therapy, we work to strengthen your self-perception. You take the lead in making changes in your life. I am here to provide you with support, encouragement, and tools along the way so you can build confidence in your abilities to manage things as they come and gain self-trust.
-
A form of talk therapy in which we work together to help you identify thoughts that are holding you back and creating barriers in your life. This approach can be beneficial because we all have negative thoughts running through our heads daily. It is believed we have 20 thoughts a second! That’s a lot of thoughts! Our thoughts create our emotions, and our feelings determine our actions (or inaction). When we learn ways to change our thoughts, we create more safety, feel more assured, and can act in situations we have been avoiding because we feel safer. We use this approach to help you move through barriers and reach your goals through therapy. By the end of treatment, you will have mastered this skill and can use it to help yourself reach future goals.
-
Motivational Interviewing is a treatment approach that helps you recognize what has been holding you back from creating the life you want. We work on exercises to build motivation to work toward those changes at a slow, comfortable pace. We use talk therapy to process where you are and where you want to be in this approach. We take small steps toward creating the life you want by having a future vision of what you want and helping you through the uncomfortable parts of change. By the end of treatment, you will have the skills to reach your goals and feel confident in achieving them. You will learn how to create change in your life and how to help yourself through the process.
-
EMDR is a trauma focused treatment method that helps you re-process feeling, images, beliefs, or experiences through the use of sensory experiences (lights, tapping, eye movement). EMDR mimics the brain’s own processes for storing memories and images and filing them away. It helps to desensitize feelings and sensations that are strong and decrease the amount of distress you experience in these situations in the future

We all have attachments and past experiences. Attachment-Focused therapy focuses on recognizing the role that past relationships have on our brains and nervous systems. When people have experienced trauma, future relationships are impacted. Attachment-focused trauma therapy helps you recognize how you are affected by relationships and create ways to increase your sense of safety and security through skill-building and self-responsiveness.
